Exit Ticket
I gave my 6th graders an exit ticket to complete on Monday at the end of class. One question asked students to say what they liked about the class (don’t worry, another question asked what they’d change.) Here are some of my favorite responses:
- I really like this class because Mrs. B really trusts us and gives us control. This is an awesome class.
- What I like about this class is that we play.
- What I like about this class is how everyone treats each other.
Matching these answers with the kids who wrote them was a surprise. I would have NEVER known these things if I wouldn’t have asked. So please, Tumblr teachers find ways to hear your students. Chances are they have at least one positive thing to say that you might not have otherwise known. Plus, it’s wonderful to get a new perspective on the culture and climate of your class.
